A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles (soon to be a series on Showtime)
Anything by David Sedaris 😊
Guncle by Steven Rowley (his newest book The Celebrants is great too - different vibe but I loved it)
Modoc: The True Story of the Greatest Elephant That Ever Lived by Ralph Helfer
Remarkably Bright Creatures by Jenna Pick
Spare by Prince Harry
The Black Echo (Harry Bosch book 1, many more in the series) by Michael Connelly (also on TV)
The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell
Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand (do not watch the movie!)
West With Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge (goes well with Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles)
Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America's Shining Women by Kate Moore
Maisie Dobbs by Jacqueline Windspear (it's first in a series, Maise is a WWI nurse turned private investigator)
For those of you who prefer audio books or are roadtripping, give these a try. We think these are really better in audio:
Anything by David Sedaris 😊
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
The Bomber Mafia by Malcolm Gladwell
The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle
Finally, if you are an e-book reader check out the Libby app, I am a new fan. They also have audio books. For those of you with ties to the DoD, did you know there is an DoD MWR Library accessible by Libby that is huge? You just need your DoD ID card number to verify and you are in.
